The cricket ground at Ashorne is still badly waterlogged as a result of recent rains. Consequently, Saturday's match against Temple Grafton has been switched to an AWAY fixture, with Grafton's and the Leagues agreement
It remains a 2pm start, so I suggest that those who are playing either arrange to meet at the Cottage Tavern in Ashorne at 12.45 or confirm to Jack Jones that they are making their own way to the ground. Fuzzy is also trying to switch Sunday's fixture to Wellesbourne, but he will confirm any decision in that regard. |

Over the last 150 years the ladies of Ashorne have fed and watered the players with first class teas, for which we are eternally grateful. As you can see this year with people moving on and work schedules changing we are finding it increasingly difficult to fill all the slots. If anyone is able to offer thier services for any of the empty dates you would become an instant star, just call Facilities Manager, Pam Cook on 01926 651508 for further details. Players please ask your wife, girlfriend, mum or dad if they would be able to help, even doing it with a fellow cricket widow. |

The 2007 cricket season was blighted by horrendous weather but for Ashorne there was most definitely a silver lining. The unexpected but deserved promotion into Division 2 of the Cotswold Hills League represents a meteoric rise for our proud village club. |

In conditions more suited to rugby in mid winter rather than the start of the cricket season Leamington won the toss and chose to bat. Opening bowlers Phil Whitehead and Luke Sharples exerted early pressure but the wet conditions made it extremely difficult to grip the ball and the |

Hello guys, Im wondering if anyone has an idea where my spikes are? They are asics, White (Quite Obviously), with bluey silvery stripes down the side. If anyone has seen them down the club when it was opened, or in a moment of madness i have lent them to someone, your help in this matter will be very much appriciated, especially as i have moved away from home and the bank of mum and dad is now very much closed! Take it easy. Jack |
